Thank you for a real concise and thoughtful analysis. As an American Jew I am sick of what Israel is doing. The similarities of what Israel is doing to the Palestinians is frighteningly close to what was done to Jews in Europe just a generation ago.

As was basically predicted by Albert Einstein and Hannah Arendt and many other conscientious Jews in a letter to NYT in December 1948

Calling out the US Congress as, "indentured servants of the Israeli war machine", and calling for a, "dramatic restructuring of U.S. foreign policy," Dennis Kucinich leads the campaign for restoring American values of peace, justice and prosperity.

Thank you for a very understandable explanation, my heart aches for us all

I supported you in 2008 for President and it’s unfortunate for the country that your bid was squashed, for the US could have been a respected country with a Department of Peace, caring about human rights. Every time you write, I-see our loss of a good human being guiding.

Time is not on the side of the genocidal settler-colonizers.

Call it Iron Dome, call it Golden Dome, or call it Star Wars. It is all the same; ballistic missile defense is a fool's errand. Some (or most) of the missiles will get through the defenses if enough are fired.

It was Israel, rather than Iran, that was eager for the ceasefire that 'ended' the first phase of the Israel/Iran War. Israel, contrary to the propaganda being fed us by the MSM, took a beating.

The 12-Day War demonstrated one thing in spades; Iran, using ballistic missiles with conventional warheads, is quite capable of destroying Israel. Nuclear weapons are not required.

Israel's foolish attempt to eliminate Iran's nuclear program and provoke regime change in Tehran showed all the world that Israel is not ten feet tall. Netanyahu and the other genocidal monsters in his inner circle should have thought this through. More often than not, the war does not turn out as one expects. Almost two years later and the IDF is still fighting Hamas in the ruins of Gaza.

The Golden Dome will be the Maginot line of our generation, only the outcome will be instant annilation of civilization worldwide. Hypersonic Chinese missiles can reach our cities within 27 minutes and never go into near earth orbit trajectory. As all these Maginot line defenses go they are 20 years and at least two conflicts behind the technologies needed to circumvent them

This is exactly why we in the US should have taken the advice of John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt when they wrote their book “The Israeli Lobby” in 2006.

It’s also why humanity should be listening to me now and paying attention to my “course”.

MojoMan's avatar

I remember reading “The Israel Lobby” which was absolutely spot on then and even more so today. Now we are going to pay a price for allowing this lobby to dictate and influence American foreign policy into a worsening and morally bankrupt partnership of genocidal behavior.

I doubt history will be kind to this American Administration. I will spend as much time as possible seeing to its termination along with adding 5 justices to the Supreme Court and prosecuting all legislators who have been complicit in this disgraceful government.

This is the way of America.

While my wife and I were in Moscow, I sent a friend a photo of Moscow at night. Beautiful picture.

What does he say? “It won’t look very beautiful when the Ukrainians bomb the shit out of it.” My point, we are the terrorists.

Thanks for your article, Congressman.

The Ukrainians are not ignorant savages. They will avoid bombing civilian, sacred and superb sites on principle. The rest of the overlord landscape can be obliterated.

Don't say they have no army. They have Hamas which is an underarmed underground Guerrilla force like the Vietcong during that war. They fight valiantly in the ground as shown by The Electronic Intifada. Bit without state support beyond the Houhties in this war They cannot but wage a war of slow attrition. They need Russia and Turkey and others to step in militarily to stop the carnage. But those states are paralyzed to do anything significant but complain

It's up to the masses everywhere to support the Oalestinian cause until the war is ended as the Israrli state collapses.

Dennis, thank you for telling more of this story, most of which is hidden and mysterious due to the owned nature of our legacy media. Do I understand your argument, that because the Iron Dome protects Israel against counter strikes, that frees it up to commit atrocities? If so, I would submit that the Gazans have no such capacity, and thus in this case an Iron Dome it doesn't matter. But that's a minor concern. The genocide against Gazans is off the scale inhumane, and certainly the Dome is an enabler preventing other countries from protecting the Gazans if they would, and in attacks in other directions, upon other nations in the region.

The rest of the story as I understand it is that we are seeing the end game of a US-based Neocon-supported program, decades old, of systematically using the US military and intel in various guises to squash and disembowel all of the other countries in the region that could fight against the acquisition of land for a Greater Israel. If I may be so bold, no country can posit the backing of God as an excuse for committing great atrocities. It does not balance the scales for the Holocaust for Zionists to do the same as what was done to them. It only creates more loss and sorrow.

Certainly there is a long long history of violence in both directions, favoring Israel/Zion and against. I followed the chapter summaries of a grand academic work that tracks the culture and changing fate of the Jewish people on the continent over several centuries. It reminds me of the legendary and deadly family feuds between the Hatfields and the McCoys, who have forgotten how it all started but in any case are bent on vengeance...forever. I back a peaceful resolution, but how to unravel all of this history to reach that end?

One more question: do you think the unquestioning US funding of this one-sided warfare has any ties to the Epstein case? And does leverage that the Mossad has gained through its vociferous spying through software back doors and more, providing leverage over US officials, business leaders, etc. keep those US leaders from doing the right thing, and thence giving Israel everything it asks for with little restraint--thus basically underwriting the actions of the state of Israel without question? In any case, the argument that Israel is the backstop of democracy in the middle east is totally undercut by their offensive behavior in the region. Self-righteous programs of genocide are not blessed by the Creator.

"The Iron Dome provides Israel with the illusion of security, that having created enemies everywhere, it can declare the peoples of any nation in the region “Amalek” and proceed to destroy Gaza and the West Bank, Lebanon and Syria."

Identical to nazi logic.

Excellent analysis with which many seem to agree, yet the U.S. continues to fund this horror and does nothing to stop Israel. Why?

$$$$$$$$$$$. Jewish money in US politics. The Jewish Lobby. Also it’s just ideology. It’s a long standing alliance that no one wants to break up.

That’s the truth Kucinich won’t disclose. It’s all connected. What is taking place in Gaza, what takes place in the halls of Congress, and even here in Ohio with Werner. It goes on into the areas like economic espionage and technology transfer of military weapons. It’s all connected and it comes back to the tribe.
